I don't like the hair I have now. :/ It's .... odd.

Anyways, I was wondering what a good hair cut would be for my face shape and features. Also, I was thinking about cutting my bangs. There is a picture/link below that I've inlcuded of me (excuse the fact that I'm no model.) and I know that my hair is pulled back by the badanna thing, but my bangs are to about my eyes. Also, should I stick with the hair colour I already have-dirty blonde on the verge of a faint brown-or should I do something else? Thanks in advance.

I think a deeper brown, even with some auburn tones would look nice. It'll make it look richer and healthier and even make your skin brighter and more balanced. Although, just seeing that picture, it's a little hard to tell. And also I don't know how long your hair is now. Layers are always a good thing depending on your hair texture and if you want more shape and movement. Your stylist can have a look at you and help you better!

Well i think that u should keep the have-dirty blond it goes good with your skin tone. i also think a cut so it will look about a little over your shoulder so u can wear it down but u can pull it up if u want.Plus i think u should grow out your bangs a little and have them a little bit lower than the chick bone. I see on stylist for color another for cut and yet another on for waxing! Very picky on the gals that do my nails and massages.

I use three different ones for a specific job!

Each one that is "right" for you! Tell them, they are great, you want a fresh stylist and thank them. Since you see them each time you go to the salon.

Be upfront with them. NOT rude, just make a clean break to make a clean start. Good luck!

I dont understand why some hairdressers just take it upon theirselves to do what they want!! ughhh! Hair grows 1/2 inch per month on average. Once its grown some, just keep trimming the bottom to catch up with your layers. Also prenatal vitamins work great to hurry up that hair growth! Good luck

Yes, hair grows about 1/2 inch a month. I would say take hair vitamins, and avoid straightening it even though it'll look better in the short term, because it will damage your hair and make it break off, which prevents it from growing. You can probably use products like Frizz-Ease serum to tame the poofiness. Also use moisturizing shampoo and conditioner to keep it healthy.

You want to get layers put into your hair. It will thin it out quite a bit. What kind of layers depends on your facial structure. Also on the length. If you want to keep your length, there is not much you can do with a cut, except throw in some layers.

My suggestion would be to start with getting your hair shoulder length or a little longer (unless it already is that length). Have your hairdresser throw in some nice long layers to thin it out a little bit, and then around your face have some long layers outline it.

Again it all depends on your facial structure. Determine that, and ask your hairdresser. If you go and it looks bad, then you need a new hairdresser.

Get a long layered cut in the back, and layer it on the sides with the first layer starting at your jaw line. Also, if you use a straightening iron on it, it tends to not make it look so full

My hair is super thick, layering is a great idea, as I just had it done. Be careful with the use of the "razor" to thin it out...that should be done no more than 3 times a YEAR. Too much use will seriously mess up your hair.

When my hair was one length, I had a "triangle" head. My hair weighed down heavily at the top and "poofed" out at the bottom. After I got my long layers, it looks awesome.

i have the exact same hair as you. choppy haircuts will look very bad, especially if you do not plan to straighten your hair everyday. your hair will look frizzy and wild when you wake up. uneven too. i dont recommend getting that style.

Choppy haircuts usually look best when someone's hair is straightened, but if your hair is only a little wavy then it shouldn't be too much of a problem at all.

Actually it really could work depending on the length. If you want to go for super short (think Halle Berry) you can do it you will just need styling pomade. If you are going to go a bit above shoulder length it can also be done. If you plan on wearing it naturally wavy it will be easy and the short cut will bring out the waves. If you plan on blowing it out everyday it will be difficult. Talk it over with your stylist and they should be able to give you the best advice.

choppy will make your hair look fuller and i dont exactly think thats a good idea. however, cutting it in long layers should do the trick. it will make your hair look sleek, is fairly easy to maintain and always looks great on people who have wavy hair!

Actually I have been cutting my own hair for years but I remember years ago I paid about 12 to 15 bucks but that included trim of the beard and mustache too. I would think that its about the same prices today but I could be wrong and I do live in Vegas so it is a bit more than in the south. For color, I would go dark blonde with some lighter blonde highlights. Maybe add some red if you want something funkier. Whatever you do, do NOT get your hair cut above the chin. Round face types look best with hair lines that fall below the chin. An A line type cut would be really cute too. Good luck!

I have the same kind of hair.. I had some darker lowlights put in it and I got my hair stacked... Thats when its longer in the front and kinda goes up in the back. When you get it stacked, it doesnt necessarily have to be SUPER short. My longest layer is about half inch below my chin. Good Luck!

I don't think it's a wise idea to conform to what the other girls are doing. I think long hair is really pretty, but some prefer it short... Maybe you could compromise. Cut it a little, then a little more, and a little more until it is a comfortable length. Most importantly, you'll be the one living with the style on your head so don't let yourself be pressured into something you're not crazy about.

Dont cut it to be like everyone else. if youve never had it cut before, maybe its time to try it. i dont know what your hair looks like but i know some people who have really long hair look pretty gross. i think you should try cutting 3-4 inches just to see if you like it, and get your friends off your back. personally i like my hair long, but not past the middle of my back. If you have never dyed your hair before i dont recomend dying it. i wish i had never dyed mine because once you do it one time you have to do it all the time and eventually it dries out and looks gross

i have a round face shape, i don't have double chin or anything just cheeks, my forehead is not small but not wide either, and the tip of my nose is kinda big. my eyes are medium sized and brown, and i have long dark eyebrows, olive skin, kinda pinkish. my natural hair colour is dark brown, my hair is medium lengh (mid back lengh) and wavey.

It stays in place for about 3 days without having to put rollers or heated brush on it. Looks elegant I am told as well as you can dress it up with a glittering clip for evening wear as well.

I cut it shoulder length all the time cause i was so used to it. I started growing up my hair with thick bangs and lots of layers. By thinning the bottem layers turns out, my heads not that big! So you can keep your length but get lots of layer and you can get angled cuts to make your face look slimmer. Btw having a round face isnt bad its just how you were born and i think its kinda cute on girls.

You need to work with your hairstylist to get the style you want. A good idea is to bring in pictures of friends, famous people anybody who has hair that youre trying to get. Hairstylist are visual, so if they can see it they can recreate it. I assume you are talking about the length of your hair rather than the length of time it takes to cut your hair. Usually hair cuts at any place run at the same price for any length of hair. If it's 10 dollars for a hair cut, it's ten dollars for any hair cut. I personally never go to the cheap pro-cut type places... because A... they never cut my hair the way I tell them to, and B the people they have working their are usually less experienced. I go to places where they charge about 30 dollars for a hair cut and style, and I also ask girls who spend alot of their hair where they get their hair done and how good are they....ect. I kinda do research before I decide to let someone take scissors to my hair. So my answer is 30-40.... never above that... that's too expensive!!! But less than 20 might mean a crappy job depending on where it is and who you get.

to cut hair in layers u have to pull each section out to a 90 degree angle . To start part hair in 4 sections from ear to ear and then straight down the middle of the head....clip the 4 sections up. now from the bottom 2 sections part out some hair trim the 1st section at 0 degrees if needed cut if not then part out another section and pull that out at a 90 degree angle from where the hair grows and cut it even with the shortest piece. Keep parting out sections and pulling them out to a 90 degree angel from where the hair grows (all through out the head) and cut each section as u are moving up the head to make even with the shortest piece from each parting (be sure to grab a little bit of the section u just cut to use as ur guide line so u don't cut her hair to short). That will give her layers. Hopefully I explained this good enough for you and u understand it....Little

U can also put her hair up in a high ponytail and cut it....that's the easiest way.

Ok. Cutting hair its not hard once you know how. First of all wash her hair its 10 times easier that way.

You should start with the length first so take sections from the back and cut in a straight line, take the sections with about an inch of hair at a time. Kep taking sections following the first line that you cut, you can see this line through the hair just keep following that line all through the hair until you have pulled all the hair down. Remember you may take off more or less hair each time you cut.

Once you have done that its time to start on the layers. You have said she wants short layers. pick up the hair from around he crown area and cut it vertically and take it as short as she desires. Make sure when you cut it joins in with the length at the botte you then use this first layer you cut as your guidline similar to how you cut off the length. You follow this guide all round the hair just follow the line taking different sections from around the crown moving more towards the left and right as you go around the hair. You can then chip into the hair by cutting intothe hair you just hold the scissors at the bottem of the hair and chip in to it quickly. If your wife wants layersaround the face you would cut them in diagonallyand chip into them aswell .

Some tips to remember is always make sure the hair lays flat and as straight as possible

Dont cut the layers too short or they will stick up, unless this is what your wife wants

choose a dark color for your base, like deep chocolate brown, and a great contrast is platinum blonde streaks, the thickness of the streaks is up to you, but they look great! tell your stylist to spare your bangs when she's doing the streaks, just keep your bangs the same color as the base.

Well if you want to do some crazy, un natural colors (i.e. not browns / blond) then i suggest you dye your hair a light shade of brown before you put in any color. If you dont then the dye wont show up to well (trust me - i have dark hair too and the color only shows in the light) andit will only tint your hair, not dye it. Hair color takes to lighter hair colors best.

Well i would suggest maybe some shades of red or pink.

Also since you have an oval shapped face i would do a layered look to compliment your face. The bangs would really help frame your face (to make it not look too long - since you also have a long neck).

Is your hair curly? Or just thick? I had a graduated bob, (when I was looking for stylist the term most used THEN was 'stacked bob'...that was a bit ago though) a few years ago and everyone raved about it. The trick in this is to go to a VERY GOOD hairstylist. They are more expensive but like all things, you do get what you pay for; the talent of the stylist. Graduated bobs look better with medium length hair, just so you know (this is according to my stylist).

My daughter had a graduated bob, and for her it didn't look good on her. Luckily she was just 8 so she didn't have the 'hair trauma' that her Mom is so accustomed to ;)
