My daughter has very long hair?

its straight and very good condition. Now she wants sides cutting, it would mean her having layers so I'm thinking that it will make her hair wavy, and it will take ages to grow out. I don't want her to feel left out as I know its fashion but I was her age when I had my hair cut and I have regretted it ever since

My daughter has very long hair?

If your daughter is of an age where she is old enough to maintain and be moderately responsible for her hair, then let her do it :] It might be really important for her self-esteem or self-expression, and if it goes wrong it isn't the end of the world, it will grow back as you quite rightly say!

There is no guarantee her hair will become wavy or kinky when layers are cut. With good blow-drying techniques, she will have no trouble. Purchasing a flat, round paddle brush from your local store should help, to keep the hair flattened and taught when styling through the layered sections.

I've had my long hair layered for years, despite fashion! I do agree it looks lovely and adds a bit of interest to a look, but is also much lighter, less prone to knots and quicker to wash and dry.

My daughter has very long hair?

Trust me,it will make it wavy.

%26amp; most likley puffy too.

Long hairs great, she'll learn to love it:]

My daughter has very long hair?

I say let her cause it really is fashion! And it will grow back!

My daughter has very long hair?

Let her cut it. It is her hair and it will grow back. Just be happy she doesn't want to color it pink.

My daughter has very long hair?

i have very natural curly hair but my daughter has straight hair. she had really long hair and got it cut about 4-6 weeks ago and it is still straight. she hadnt had a hair cut in almost 7 years! she got it cut because it seems that everyone she knows had short hair, as you said its the fashion. its really what you decide to let her do. they have great hair straighteners out there too if for some reason it becomes curly. ( I use one daily....lol) good luck and

God bless!

My daughter has very long hair?

Let her cut it b/c she will always want to!! If she doesn't like it, at least she will have experienced it, to know better for later on, like you did.

My daughter has very long hair?

i don't think it will make it wavy just warn her ....................

My daughter has very long hair?

i belive thats you should let her because it will jsut grow back

My daughter has very long hair?

i did not cut my hair untel i was 12 and i will never go back. if my mom sead no i would hate her 4 ever

My daughter has very long hair?

Luckily I don't have daughters, thank goodness, but I do have 2 sons, who have decided they want to grow their hair like Zack and Cody from the Disney Channel. I'm not crazy about the idea, but they are old enough to comb it themselves and be responsible for their own appearances, so I've allowed it.

The decision is up to you, being her mother, but I'd say let her cut it. Kids need self expression and it gives them a sense of independence and style. Even if she hates it, she'll have experienced it herself. Just be sure to warn her that she may not like it.

My daughter has very long hair?

stop her!! don't let her, likely hood is she'll regret it when shes a bit older, i had hair down to my waist til i was 14 then had it chopped shoulder length and layers n regretted it ever since. now i need extensions that are very pricey and not a pact on naural locks. shorter hair is harder to control too, so it WILL curl up all the time and no stay straight. BIG NO NO!!

My daughter has very long hair?

I have long hair myself and have had long hair pretty mush all my life. When I was 10 I asked my mom to let me cut it, she said no. It made me so mad that when I turned 14 I went on a trip with my dad and siblings and I used this opportunity to chop it off completely. I mean I did it just to make my mom upset.

Just let your daughter trim hers, hair always grows. Make sure she doesn't take too much length out of it, but don't say no, because eventually she will find a way to get her way.

My daughter has very long hair?
