is it because i dont know how to cut hair or is that the way its supposed to be, its not WHITE but it looks dead, and my hair isnt dead.

It is because your scissors are not sharp enough and they are actually tearing the hair, not cutting it clean. This can lead to split ends and dry hair.

You will get little white tips to your hair when the hair snaps... this is how hair dressers can tell if you have breakage etc.

The reason it is happening when you cut it yourself and not when the hair dresser does it is because your sissors are not sharp enough. They may seem sharp and cut the hair but not in the way its meant to be done... for good hair dressing you need really sharp sissors!

Either buy some hair dressing sissors or get it trimmed at the salon.

They know how to texturize the hair. Also, they have the correct instruments to cut hair. You are giving it a blunt cut, which is not healthy for your hair.

They are dead ends. Salons use special sissors to cut hair with. Check the sissors you are using. Some sissors can actually give you dead ends.

i'm not sure but probably something to do with the scissors. the scissors that stylists use are made for cutting hair the can be hundreds of dollars so when you use just regular every day scissors it probably doesnt do as nice of a job so the hair looks not as nice.
