i'll go get a trim but i still have split ends later that week or something. i want to grow my hair out longer and ive been getting my hair cut what should i do to stop them!

its dry at the ends.. u need to deep condition it regularly. with professional products.

I was talking to my science teacher [reliable source?] about this because i've got long hair [down to my ribs] and he was saying that that's why my hair splits, because i don't have enough protein to support such a long, thin structure.

So, what I've noticed helps is any form of protein enriched or damgage repairing conditioner or shampoo.
